
Tata Motors recently launched its second electric car Tigor EV. This is the electric version of the company’s Tigor sedan car. Coming with a 4 star Global NCAP safety rating, you get a great charging range in this electric car. battery and range
The Tata Tigor EV has an ARAI certified range of 306 kms. However, in actual conditions, it can run up to 250 km. It has a slightly smaller 26 kWh battery (30.2 kWh) compared to the Nexon EV. It takes 8.5 hours to charge the battery to 80 percent via the traditional 15A home socket. Whereas through fast charging, it goes from 0 to 80 percent in 65 minutes.
performance
Ziptron technology makes its way into the Tigor EV which claims to help with its performance credentials while on the go. There is 74 bhp and 170 Nm of torque on offer. It is being claimed that the Tigor EV can accelerate to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. The maximum speed is 120 kmph.

Variants and color options
Like the Nexon EV, the Tigor EV has also been brought with the company’s Ziptron technology. Under this, the electric motor comes with IP67 dust and water resistant rating and also charges the battery when the moving vehicle is braked. The electric motor of the Tigor EV generates 74 bhp power and 170 Nm torque. The company claims that the car achieves a speed of 60kmph in 5.7 seconds. The top speed of the car is 120 kmph.
Variants and color options
Tata’s new Tigor comes in three variants, which include XE, XM+ and XZ+. It will be available in two monotone color options – Signature Teal and Daytona Grey. Customers can also opt for a dual-tone color option, which will be available only in the XZ+ variant.

Features
The 2021 Tigor EV has an updated front design, new front grille, new bumpers compared to the standard Tigor. It gets halogen head lights with LED DRLs, LED tail lights, blue-accent on the alloy wheels. The interiors get 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, Harman audio system, all-digital driver display, iRA connected car technology and automatic climate control.
Price and Warranty
The starting price of Tigor EV is under Rs. 12 lakhs. The XE variant of the car is priced from Rs 11.99 lakh, the XM+ variant costs Rs 12.49 lakh, while the XZ+ variant costs Rs 12.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The company is offering a battery and motor warranty of 8 years and 1,60,000 kms on the Tigor EV.
