Veteran batsman Abraham de Villiers (AB De Villiers) of Royal Challengers Bangalore has praised Mumbai Indians (MI) for winning the IPL title for the fifth time. Mumbai won their second consecutive and fifth title by defeating Delhi by five wickets in the final of the league’s 13th season played at the Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday night.

De Villiers scored 55 off 24 balls in that match and was named man of the match. De Villiers scored 454 runs this season and he finished third in the list of batsmen in the league for his team, behind captain Virat Kohli (466), opener Devdutt Padikkal (473).
Bangalore had made it to the playoffs this time but were defeated by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator match.
