Airtel has created 4.3 million new mobile subscribers in November 2020. This has been revealed by the latest data from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The telecom operator has overtaken Jio in terms of new subscribers. Vi (Vodafone Idea) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) lost their customers in November. Let us know that this is the fourth consecutive month when Airtel has achieved the first number in terms of new mobile subscribers.
Data from November 30, 2020 released by TRAI shows that Airtel added 4.3 million (4.3 million) mobile subscribers in November. Now Airtel has a total of 334.65 million subscribers and the market share is 28.97 percent. When compared to the data of October 2020, the company achieved a growth of 1.3 per cent.

Reliance Jio added 1.3 million (around 1.3 million) mobile subscribers in November. The company achieved a growth of 0.48% as compared to October 2020. However, Jio has a total of 408.29 million wireless subscribers and the company has a market share of 35.34 per cent. Talk about BSNL, the state-owned telecom company lost 18,357 subscribers while Vi lost 2.89 million (about 28 lakh) subscribers in November 2020. As of November 30, 2020, BSNL had 118.86 million subscribers and the company had a market share of 10.3 per cent. Vi had 289.94 million subscribers with a 25.1 per cent market share.

TRAI reported in its report that 1,151.81 million wireless subscribers grew in India from October to the end of November 2020. Further, Airtel had the highest number of active wireless subscribers at 96.63 per cent. Talking about active wireless subscribers, Jio holds 79.55 per cent, Vi holds 89.01 per cent and BSNL has 51.72 per cent market share.
Overall, if you put wireless and wired services together, Jio has the highest market share of 55.27 percent. This was followed by Airtel with 23.51 per cent, Vi 16.30 per cent and BSNL with 3.52 per cent market share in November 2020.
