In such a situation, there has been a decline of 22.10 percent in year-on-year sales of cars last month.

According to the data, Indo-Japanese cars dominated the top selling cars of the last month. According to the report, 6 cars were from Maruti in the top 10 selling cars of the last month. After this, the names of Hyundai, Tata and Kia remained in this list.

Maruti sales decline
Maruti Alto was the best selling car in October 2021 with sales volume of 17,389 units. In the same month last year, 17,850 units of Maruti Alto were sold. In such a situation, this time there can be a decrease of 2.5 percent in the sales of Alto. Similarly, the sale of Maruti’s premium hatchback Baleno has also come down this time. In October last year, the company had sold 21,971 units of Baleno, which declined to 15,573 units this year.

In terms of sales, Maruti Ertiga performed well in October this year. Last year, the company sold 7,748 units and this year the figure stood at 12,923 units with a growth of 66.7 percent. The company’s tallboy hatchback Wagon R saw a decrease of 34 percent in October 2021. In the same month last year, a total of 18,703 units of Wagon R were sold, which this time came down to 12,335.

Talking about Maruti Suzuki Swift, this car usually remains in the top 3, but this time it is at 9th position in terms of sales. The sales of this popular hatchback of the company have declined by 62.6 percent in October this year. Maruti Eeco was also slightly behind in terms of sales this year as compared to last year. The company had sold 13,309 units of Eeco last year, which this time stood at 10,320 units.

The sales of Hyundai Venue saw a growth of 19.5 percent in October this year. The company sold a total of 10,554 units of this sub-compact SUV in October this year. Similarly, the sales of Kia Seltos saw a jump in October this year. Last year, the company sold 8,900 units of this SUV, which stood at 10,488 units in October this year.

Tata Punch enters top 10
Tata’s sub-compact SUV Nexon sold 6,888 units in October last year. At the same time, in October this year, the sale of this luxurious SUV of the company saw an increase of 46.5 percent. Talking about the recently launched Tata Punch, after the first month’s sale, it has joined the list of top 10 selling cars. Tata Punch is ranked 10th in the list of top 10 selling cars with 8,453 units sold.
