
Royal Enfield’s best selling bike Classic 350, now the country’s leading performance bike manufacturer, will now also serve in the security of CRPF personnel. Today, 21 modified Classic 350 bikes have been included in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) squad. These bikes will be used as mobile ambulances in remote areas.
Today these bikes were introduced in CRPF headquarters in New Delhi. These bikes have been produced by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO )’s Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS). This bike ambulance will prove to be very effective in remote areas where there is difficulty in getting big vehicles. CRPF personnel injured during an encounter or an accident will be taken to the hospital for safe treatment by these bikes. This mobile ambulance is named Rakshita.
DS & DG (LS) of Defense Research and Development Organization, Dr. A.K. Singh told the media that, “To improve internal security in the country, the CRPF is continuously active and deployed across the country. Most of these deployments are in remote and inaccessible areas. So many injured and sick soldiers have to be It becomes difficult to get out of areas. ” He told that, “CRPF shared their thoughts on how to build such a bike ambulance from INMAS in the year 2018.”
How is bike ambulance: Let me tell you, some cosmetic changes have been made in this bike, such as the Casualty Activation Seat (CSE) has been given on its back seat. Apart from this, it has features such as hand immobilizer, harness jacket, auto warning system, dashboard mounted LCD, oxygen kit, saline, adjustable footrest.
Apart from cosmetic changes, no information has been available about whether the mechanism of this bike has been changed or not. However, in the model available in the market, the company has used a 346cc capacity single cylinder air cooled engine, which generates power of 19.3PS and torque of 28Nm. It has a 5 speed gearbox.
