
Bajaj’s Chetak Electric Scooter (Bajaj Chetak Electric) has received a great response from customers. The company had to stop booking the scooter within 48 hours. The company claims that the booking has been called off due to heavy demand. Currently, this scooter is available only in two cities of the country – Pune and Bangalore. Now the company is going to launch it in two new cities to fulfill the demand.
According to the news, to further boost sales, Bajaj Auto is now launching its battery-powered scooter in Pune and Chennai soon, followed by Chennai and Hyderabad. As of December 2020, Bajaj has a total of 18 Chetak dealerships in India. Five of these are located in Pune and the rest in Bengaluru. This scooter has a direct competition with electric scooters like the Ather 450X and TVS iQube.

Recently increased price
Keeping in view the demand, the company had recently increased the price of the scooter as well. The company had increased its price by Rs 27,000, after which the price of this scooter has been increased to Rs 1,42,620 (ex-showroom, Pune). Let us tell you that there was a second time when the prices of scooters were increased. Earlier in the month of March, the company had raised about Rs 5,000.

95 km Driving range
This scooter has a 3 kWh battery and 4.08 kW electric motor. It comes with two different driving modes- Sport and Eco. The company claims that the scooter can run up to 95 km in Eco mode and 85 km in Sport mode. At the same time, it takes about 5 hours for the battery to be fully charged. However, with a quick charging system, it can be charged up to 25 percent in just 1 hour.
