For Bangladesh, Shakib took the maximum four wickets for eight runs in 7.2 overs. Shakib took 150 wickets in ODIs at home. Apart from him, Hasan Mahmood, playing his debut match, took three wickets, Mustafizur Rahman took two and Mehdi Hasan took one wicket.
Chasing a target of 123 runs, Bangladesh achieved this by losing four wickets in 33.5 overs. Captain Tamim Iqbal scored 44 for the team, Shakib 19, Mushfiqur Rahim 19 not out, Litton Das 14 and Mahmudullah scored nine not out.
For the West Indies, Akil Hussain took three wickets and captain Jason Mohammed took one wicket. The second ODI between the two teams will be played on this ground on Friday.
