
New Delhi: Benelli India is gearing up to launch a new motorcycle in the Indian market. The next launch of the Chinese-owned Italian premium motorcycle brand will be the TRK 251. The pre-bookings for the new bike will start from November 5. The company has made a new announcement through its social media handle. Benelli has also released a teaser video of the upcoming adventure tourer motorcycle ahead of its Indian launch. After launch, this new motorcycle is going to compete with Royal Enfield Himalayan and KTM 250 Duke.
The new Benelli TRK 251 gets USD forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Disc brakes have been given in both the wheels of the bike which are petal-type. The exterior design of the model will include twin-pod headlight with semi-faired design, a digital instrument cluster, a tall windscreen and a step-up seat.
The motorcycle will be powered by a 249cc single-cylinder engine that will generate 25.8bhp of maximum power and 21.2Nm of peak torque. This engine will come with a 6-speed gearbox. Benelli also plans to introduce a range of new products for the Indian market in 2022. More information about this is likely to be revealed soon. The new TRK 251 is likely to be offered in India for around ₹2.2 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
