Toyota India is going to bring its new car Toyota Hilux in the Indian market. According to the report of Autocar India, dealers have started taking unofficial bookings for this car. Different dealers are booking it for an amount ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh. It is to be launched in the Indian market in January 2022. Let us tell you that the Toyota Hilux will be a pickup truck, whose direct competition is going to be with the Isuzu D-Max.
More than Fortuner in length
The Toyota Hilux will be offered with the same platform and engine options as the Innova Crysta and Fortuner. It can be given the same 2.8 liter diesel engine as the Fortuner, which generates 204PS and 500Nm of peak torque. It will come with 4 wheel drive. It will be longer than the Fortuner in length. It is expected to have a length of 5,285mm and a wheelbase of 3,085mm. Let us tell you that the Fortuner is 4,795mm in length.

Interior & Exterior
The Toyota Hilux will be sold in India in a double-cab body style. It will get a larger hexagonal grille, unique swept-back LED headlamps and rough and tough bumpers compared to the Fortuner. The rear profile resembles that of a conventional pickup truck. The interiors are expected to get Fortuner-like dashboard design, steering wheel, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

what will be the price
At present, the Isuzu D-Max is the only lifestyle pickup truck in India that is going to compete with the Toyota Hilux. The Isuzu D-Max price in India ranges from Rs 18.05 Lakh-25.60 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). There is no confirmation about the price of the Hilux at the moment, however, according to the report, it can be priced around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
