Ingredients to make Lauki Paratha
Gourd – 1
Flour – 2 bowl
Onion – 1
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Cumin – 1 tsp
Green coriander leaves chopped – 2 tbsp
oil – as needed
salt – as per taste
How to make Lauki Paratha
First take the bottle gourd and peel off its skin. After this, grate the bottle gourd with the help of a grater and keep it in a vessel. Now cut finely pieces of onion. Take a mixing bowl and add grated bottle gourd and finely chopped onion pieces and mix them well. After this add red chilli powder, cumin, coriander powder and chopped coriander leaves to this mixture and mix them all well. Now add flour to this mixture and mix the flour well with all the ingredients. After this, keep the mixture aside for some time.
Now take the paratha mixture and knead it once more. After this, prepare dough balls. Now take one ball and roll it round or triangular. After this, take a nonstick pan/griddle and keep it on medium heat for heating. Put some oil on the pan and spread it all around. When the griddle gets hot, put the rolled paratha in it and roast it. Flip the paratha after 20 seconds and apply oil on the other side with the help of a spoon. Roast the paratha till it turns golden brown from both the sides. After that take it out in a plate. Similarly prepare bottle gourd parathas from all the balls one by one. Now serve bottle gourd paratha with tomato sauce or green chutney.
