Country’s leading electric two-wheeler maker Hero Electric has drastically cut the prices of its Optima HX range in the domestic market. The company has reduced the price of its vehicles after the amendment made in (FAME-II) subsidy. Now the starting price of this scooter has gone up to just Rs 53,600, which used to be Rs 61,640 earlier. Apart from this, customers can book this scooter through the company’s official website for just Rs 2,999.
Hero Optima HX is one of the best selling scooters. The company has used 1200 watt electric motor in this and its top speed is 42 kilometers per hour. This scooter has a portable battery pack of 51.2V/30Ah capacity which gives a driving range of up to 82 kms on a single charge.
Apart from this, this scooter is also available with a dual battery pack, which gives a driving range of up to 122 km. Its dual battery pack variant costs Rs 58,980. As far as features are concerned, the Optima HX comes with features like digital instrument cluster with apron mounted turn indicators, USB port, 12-inch alloy wheel, LED headlight, remote lock system, anti-theft alarm.
The company has decorated this scooter with attractive graphics that starts from the front apron and goes all the way to the body panel. It has a single piece pylon grabrel with step-up seat. The scooter is available in a total of four colours, which include Red, Grey, Blue and White. This scooter comes in a total of four variants and the price given here is according to ex-showroom Delhi.
Let us inform that, in the past, the Department of Heavy Industries (DHI) made some important amendments in the Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Manufacturing (FAME II) scheme. According to the department, the subsidy given on electric two-wheelers will now be Rs 15,000 per kWh as against Rs 10,000 per kWh earlier.
