
Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its new-generation Celerio in the Indian market. The launch date has not been officially confirmed yet, although it is believed that this hatchback can be brought next month. There will be many changes in the new Celerio compared to the current model. The leaked pictures so far have given us an idea of most of the features of the new car. Updated design and new chassis
Some design elements of the company’s Swift and Baleno can be seen in the new model of Celerio. It gets a new sweptback halogen headlamp with a single slot grille in chrome. The alloy wheel has also been given a new design. The new Celerio will be built on the company’s Heartect platform. The company’s models like Swift, Baleno, Ciaz, S-Presso are also based on this platform. This platform gives better performance, safety and mileage.

Better interior and features
The change will not be limited to the exteriors only. A new dashboard and a new steering wheel are also going to be given in the interior of the Celerio. Apart from this, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system (Android Auto and Apple Car Play connectivity support), automatic climate control, power windows, power out side rear view mirrors (ORVM’s) can be given in the hatchback.

better performance
With the Heartect platform, the new-gen Celerio will be lighter than before, which is going to give better performance. Also, the suspension is expected to be tuned for better driving experience in the Celerio. This car will be available with two petrol engine options. In one variant, a petrol engine of 1.0 liter capacity will be given, which generates 68 PS of power and 90 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the second variant will come with a 1.2 liter petrol engine, which generates 83 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual and automatic gearbox.
