Electric Tractor: The government is emphasizing on the electrification of vehicles, the central government is introducing new schemes to promote the use of electric vehicles. To reduce dependence on petrol and diesel, the government is now going to land electric tractors in the country. This was announced by Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari himself. Today, Nitin Gadkari said at the launch of ‘Go Electric’ campaign that the government will launch electric tractors in the country within the next 15 days. Apart from this, he also talked about making the use of electric vehicles mandatory for all the government ministries and department officials.
Gadkari also suggested that the government should give subsidy to buy electric cooking equipment instead of supporting them to buy LPG in homes. Gadkari suggested that the use of electric vehicles should be made mandatory for all government officials.
Let us know that recently, the country’s first CNG powered tractor was launched at Nitin Gadkari. This is a diesel tractor that has been converted to CNG. This is the first tractor of its kind in the country. This tractor belongs to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari which has been converted into CNG. The government claims that the cost of using this tractor can be reduced by nearly 55 percent.

However, when talking about electric tractors, no information has been shared about the technical features associated with this tractor. Today Nitin Gadkari has said that this electric tractor will be introduced at the launch of ‘Go Electric’ campaign. The upcoming tractor will use batteries and will be a fully electric tractor.
This is not the first electric tractor in the country: Let us tell you for the record that, the tractor which the government is talking about to launch is not the first electric tractor in the country. Earlier, the major automobile manufacturer Sonalika launched the country’s first electric tractor Tiger in December last year. This tractor is designed in Europe.
How is Sonalika Tiger: In electric tractors, the company has used 25.5 kW natural cooling compact battery of IP67 standard. Which in general can be used for less than a quarter of the cost of diesel tractors. The starting price of this tractor has been fixed at just Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
You can easily charge this electric tractor from the domestic socket itself. It takes about 10 hours for its battery to be fully charged. Apart from this, the German electric motor used in it gives you 100 percent torque. The company is manufacturing Tiger Electric Tractor at its plant in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Where it takes just 2 minutes to build a new tractor. The top speed of this tractor is 24.93 km / h. The company is also providing charging system with this tractor, so that it can be fully charged in just 4 hours.
