The country’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer Okinawa has announced a price cut of its vehicles. Recently, the Department of Heavy Industries (DHI) made some important amendments in the Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Manufacturing (FAME II) scheme. Now the company has announced that it will provide full subsidy benefit of 15000/KWH to its customers. Depending on the company’s different models, the price cut ranges from Rs 7,200 to Rs 17,800.

According to the information given by the company, these new prices have been implemented from June 11 itself. Let us inform that, a notification was issued in this direction by the department, under which the incentive amount for electric two-wheelers in the country has been increased, this will reduce the price of the vehicles. According to the department, the subsidy given on electric two-wheelers will now be Rs 15,000 per kWh as against Rs 10,000 per kWh earlier.

Currently, Okinawa sells a total of 3 electric scooters, which include the iPress Plus, Press Pro and Ridge Plus models. The company has revised the price of these three models and these scooters have become very cheap. Their price is given below.

Okinawa iPraise+:

This is the best selling model sold by the company. The company claims that the demand for this scooter has seen a three-fold increase in the last few months. It offers features like smartphone connectivity, which can be connected to the Okinawa Echo app. The scooter comes with a detachable lithium-ion battery and offers a driving range of 160 to 180 kms on a single charge. It takes only 2 to 3 hours to fully charge, the company claims that this scooter is about 30 to 40 percent lighter than other vehicles in its segment.

Okinawa PricePro:

The company has used high-speed lithium i-on battery in this scooter. This scooter is equipped with a 1000 W BLDC electric motor, which is equipped with a battery of 2.0kWh capacity. In a single charge, this scooter gives a driving range of up to 90 km and it takes just 2 to 3 hours to get fully charged.

Okinawa Ridge+:

This is the company’s flagship model which is available in one variant and two color options. Its electric motor generates power up to 800 watts. Drum brakes have been given in both the front and rear wheels, which comes with electronically assisted braking system. This scooter can also be connected to a smartphone and it also has a feature like Find My Scooter. In general, this scooter gives a driving range of up to 120 km and its top speed is 55 km per hour.
