The sale of new models of the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp and Honda has been banned in two districts of Chhattisgarh. According to the information, the Chhattisgarh Transport Department has banned the sale of these two companies due to non-approval of new models.
Indeed, the new models of Hero MotoCorp and Honda have not received approval from the state transport department. This is the reason that the sale of new models of these two companies has been banned in Raipur, and Gariaband districts of the state. Let us know that both these companies have a total of 8 dealerships in these two districts. The issue came to light when dealers stopped approving new models from the Transport Department a few days ago.

According to a report published in ET, dealers had not taken approval from the department for the BS6 models launched by both the automakers. In this case, President of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) Vinkesh Gulati said in his statement to the media that, “We are really shocked by this order because the central government has already given an order that for new models State-wise approvals are not required as they are already approved by the ARAI and the competent authorities. ”
Let us know that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) issued a notification on 4 May 2017 itself. This notification stated that, certification from the competent authority will be sufficient for the sale of vehicles. At present, order has been given by Chhattisgarh Transport Department for both these districts only, now it has to be seen whether this order is implemented in other districts also.
In this case, Manish Raj Singhania, President of Raipur Automobile Dealers Association, in his statement to the media said, “The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has clearly stated in its circular that, there is no need for state level approval for vehicles models. Yes, this causes unnecessary delay. The same rule should be followed in Chhattisgarh. It is not right to ban the registration of vehicles without seeking any prior notice or clarification. ”
