Hero MotoCorp has suffered a major setback in terms of motorcycle sales last month. In November, Bajaj Auto became the largest seller of bikes (inclusive of domestic sales and exports) overtaking Hero MotoCorp. It is worth noting that the sales of both the companies have registered a decline in comparison to November last year. So let’s know which company has sold how many bikes.
Bajaj Auto has registered a total sales of 338,473 units in November 2021. This is a drop of 12 per cent over November last year. In November 2020, the company had sold 384,993 units. On the other hand, if we talk about Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler company has sold a total of 329,185 motorcycles last month. These figures are inclusive of domestic sales and exports.
Hero MotoCorp reported a decline of 39 per cent in total motorcycle sales in November 2021. In the same month last year, the company had sold 541,437 units. However, it is rare to see Bajaj Auto overtake Hero MotoCorp in overall motorcycle sales.

Export sale did wonders for Bajaj Auto
Bajaj Auto has got the biggest support from the export market. Despite a two per cent decline in exports, Bajaj Auto gets more than half of its motorcycle sales from international markets. The company has exported 193,520 motorcycles to overseas markets, and has sold 144,953 units in the domestic market. Bajaj Auto currently sells its motorcycles in around 70 countries across the world. However, Latin America and Africa remains one of the major international markets for Bajaj Auto.
