Hyundai, the leading South Korean automaker, has been testing its new micro SUV in the Indian market for a long time. This upcoming micro SUV of the company has been codenamed (AX1). Once again this SUV has been spotted during testing and this time some more information related to this SUV has been revealed.
Recently a teaser image of this SUV was also released, which has seen its headlight and taillight. It has split lighting using Hyundai’s traditional design language. LED day time running lights with circular projector make its front look attractive. However, its taillight has been given a triangular shape.
The company had announced the manufacture of this micro SUV in 2018, and since then it has been seen testing on different stages. It is believed to have a length of around 3.7 to 3.8 meters, making it shorter than the Hyundai Venue. Despite being small in size, this micro SUV will incorporate advanced features and technology.
Although no information has been shared about the details of this micro SUV officially, it is believed to have been produced on Hyundai’s K1 platform. It can be launched in the market with two different petrol engine options. In one variant, the company can use a petrol engine of 1.2 liters and 1.1 liter engine in other variants. Like you find in Santro, the company’s famous hatchback car.
What will be the price: Before the launch of Hyundai AX1, there will be some haste regarding its price, but media reports are being told that the company can launch it at an initial price of Rs 5 lakh. In this segment, Tata Motors is also going to launch its new Tata HBX soon, which was introduced in the past Auto Expo.
