
, 30 January (Language) The first Test match of the series is to be played between India and England from 5 February. Stringent arrangements have been made to protect against the deadly corona virus and the players are constantly being tested. Meanwhile on Saturday, all-rounder Ben Stokes, fast bowler Joffra Archer and reserve opener Rory Burns attended the first practice session at Chepauk after six weeks of tight isolation.
England media manager Danny Reuben said, ‘The first group of players Archer, Burns, Stokes practiced today. They will practice for two hours every day for the next three days.
“England’s second corona test has been negative,” he said. The England team will start practice from February 2. The first Test of the four-match series will be played from February 5 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
