Indian batsman KL Rahul, who returned home from a tour of Australia due to a wrist injury, said on Tuesday that he has regained full fitness after recovering and is ready for the home series against England. The 28-year-old Rahul played in ODIs and T20 series against Australia but did not get a chance in the first two Tests.

In Melbourne, he suffered a wrist injury to his left hand that ruled him out of the final two Tests. Rahul returned home after this and joined the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore for recovery.

Rahul wrote on his Twitter handle, ‘Glad I completed the rehabilitation well. Nothing feels better than being fit and healthy again. Returning with the players is always fun. It is an honor to represent the country. My eyes are now on the home series.

Rahul, who scored two half-centuries in the limited-overs series in Australia, has been included in the Indian team for the first two Tests against England starting February 5 in Chennai.
