The Indian badminton team and staff left for Thailand on Sunday to take part in the BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament and BWF World Tour Finals. Olympic team contenders Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth and B.V. Sai Praneeth is involved while world champion PV Sindhu will leave for England directly from Thailand. Sindhu has been training in England since October.

First thailand tour
The first Thailand Open is to be played from 12 to 17 January and the second Thailand Open from 19 to 24 January. After this, World Tour Finals will start from 27 January, which will run till 31 January. This will be the first tournament for Indian badminton players since the Corona virus epidemic.
