Northeast United beat Mumbai City FC 2–1 to register their second consecutive win against the team in the current tournament of Indian Super League football. In the ISL (Indian Super League) match played on Saturday, Deshorn Brown from Northeast Scored two goals in the first half, while Mumbai’s only goal was scored by Adam de Fondre in the second half.
With this defeat, Mumbai also lost their chance to create history by being invincible in the 13th consecutive match. The Northeast team is the only team to beat Mumbai City, topping the points table in the current season. With this win, the Northeast team reached the top-4 with 21 points.

Brown’s two goals helped the Highlanders finish the first half with a 2–0 lead. On the one hand in the second half, where the Highlanders wanted to keep their score and wanted to equalize with the famous Mumbai goal by the name of the Islanders, fouls took place on the field and three bookings were made one after the other.
