
Kawasaki India has launched its new bike KLX450R. The price of this off-road motorcycle in India has been kept at Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is 50 thousand rupees more expensive than its old model. The deliveries of the new model will start from the first month of 2022. The Kawasaki KLX450R will be brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
What’s special in the new bike
The updated Kawasaki KLX450R motorcycle gets a new lime green color option along with a new set of decals. The company claims that it has also made minor updates to the powertrain for better low-end torque. Along with this, the suspension of the motorcycle has also been changed. However, the engine of the bike has been kept the same.

It has a single cylinder, liquid cooled engine of 449 cc as before. The engine is mated to a 5 speed gearbox. This powertrain now offers better low-end torque. The engine is housed inside a light-weight frame. It gets upside-down forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. For braking, it gets petal-type disc brakes at both the ends.

It gets a sloping fuel tank with extension, a flat-type seat and high mounted exhaust. The bike has a triangular headlight and spoked wheels. It gets an 8-litre fuel tank and weighs 126kg. The bike also gets renthal aluminum handlebars and a small digital console.
