A post was made by the company’s official Twitter handle, sharing a picture that read “Don’t gamble with safety”. During this, the company posted the English characters of Swift’s name by manipulating it in a funny way (SIWTF). However, after a while this post was deleted. But seeing this post went viral and the users enjoyed it a lot.
Let us tell you that in the past, Maruti Swift got a zero rating in the Latin NCAP crash test. The variant of Maruti Swift that has been included in this crash test, two airbags were given in it. The DZire also got a zero rating in the Latin Encap crash test. During this crash test, Swift got 15.53% (6.21 points) for adult safety, 0% for child safety and (0 points), 6.98% (3 points) for pedestrian safety on pedestrian road.
Latin NCAP says poor side impact protection, low whiplash score, lack of standard side protection airbags, absence of ESC, use of lap belt instead of three-point unit in rear center seat will give the car a zero (0 ) got star rating. Not only this, Suzuki does not recommend Child Restraint Systems (CRS) in this car.
At the same time, Tata Motors has promoted its hatchback car Tiago in this tweet, which has got a 4 star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. Maruti Swift is the best selling car of its segment in the market and in the same year the company launched its facelift model. There is a tough competition between these two cars. As far as the prices of both the cars are concerned, the Maruti Swift is priced between Rs 5.81 lakh to Rs 8.56 lakh and the Tata Tiago will cost customers Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 7.04 lakh. This price is as per ex-showroom Delhi.
