
MG Motor India will introduce a new electric car by the end of next financial year to strengthen its position in the country’s electric vehicle market. Giving this information on Wednesday, a top company official said that the price of this vehicle will be kept between Rs 10 to 15 lakh. MG Motor currently sells the SUV ZS EV in the electric vehicle segment. The company will introduce electric vehicles based on a global platform that will be tailored to the Indian market.

The price will be Rs 10-15 lakhs
Rajiv Chhaba, Chairman and Managing Director, MG Motor India said, “After SUV Aster, we are looking at an electric vehicle. We have got a lot of encouragement after the government clarified things regarding electric vehicles. The price of this vehicle will be between 10 to 15 lakh rupees.
MG Motor sales fall in November 2021
MG Motor’s car sales have registered a decline in November 2021, a 40 percent decline in the company’s sales. Hector has been at number one in MG sales, followed by Aster, followed by ZS EV and Gloster. The company’s sales have registered a decline due to lack of chips, the company had informed recently.
MG Hector has been the company’s best-selling model, the company’s SUV has sold 1210 units in the month of November, which was 3426 units last year, a decline of 65 percent. On the other hand, a decline of 51 percent has been registered against 2478 units in the month of October. The company had said that production has been hit hard due to chip shortage.
