Celerio will come on S-Presso platform
The second generation Celerio will be produced on Maruti’s Heartect platform. The company has also offered the same platform in models such as Maruti S-Preso and WagonR. Due to the new platform, the size of the car may also increase. It can get a wider cabin and longer wheelbase for passengers to comfort.

Engine and Expected Price
Another big change in the new Celerio will be seen in the engine. The first 1.0-liter three-cylinder K10 engine will continue to be found in it. Apart from this, an 83hp 1.2-liter K12 engine with more power like WagonR can also be added. Like the WagonR, the gearbox option can be the same 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. The new Celerio will also compete with cars like Tata Tiago and Hyundai Santro. It is expected to be priced between Rs 4.5 lakh to 6.5 lakh.

Pictures of the car leaked online show that it has an all-new dashboard design, redesigned steering wheel, and Maruti’s SmartPlay Studio infotainment system is expected to be found.
