American automaker Ford today launched the new SE variant of its famous compact SUV EcoSport in the Indian market. A few days ago the company released a teaser of this SUV. The company has launched it with both petrol and diesel engine options. The price of its petrol variants has been fixed at Rs 10.49 lakhs and the diesel variants at Rs 10.99 lakhs.
Actually, the EcoSport SE variant is based on the facelift model available in the global market, with the spare wheel removed from the tailgate. Dual tone rear bumpers have been given in its rear. The bumper also gets a silver accent, which gives it a slightly sporty look. As other features, it has a 16-inch alloy wheel, projector headlamp etc.
You will get special puncture kit: The company is also offering a puncture repair kit in the new EcoSport SE, which makes it even more useful. The company says that if the tire is punctured, it will not need to be removed from the piston, it can be easily replaced. Apart from this, FordPass connectivity feature has also been given, which is quite famous in the segment. Engine Capacity: As we told you earlier, the company has launched it with both petrol and diesel engine options. In its petrol version, the company has given a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates 121hp power and 149Nm torque. At the same time, in the diesel version, the company has given a 1.5-liter capacity 4-cylinder engine, which generates 100hp power and 215Nm torque. Both engines come with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
Point of view: All other features in the EcoSport SE variant are the same as the Titanium variants, but it costs around Rs 70,000 more. Apart from this, the company did not provide features such as side curt airbags, traction control, electronic stability control, hill start assist, cruise control auto dimming inside rear view mirror, auto wipers, rear seat arm rests, leather seat covers as compared to the top S variants. Huh. However, its price is less than Rs 50,000 as compared to the S variant.
