However, a source told CarAndBike that the launch date was yet to be finalized due to the COVID-19 lockdown in other states including Maharashtra.
Apart from this, Zac Hollis, the brand director of Skoda Auto India, has also indicated to launch in June, replying to a user. Actually a user said on Twitter that he has been waiting for Skoda Octavia for a long time and asked Jack when it will launch. In response, Jack wrote that the car could be launched next month.

What will be the price
The picture that has gone viral on the internet also indicates that the company will soon start dispatch of the car and the on-road price of the car can be around Rs 27.5 lakh to Rs 32 lakh. However, according to CarAndBike, the new Skoda Octavia in India will be priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Only car will come in petrol engine
Skoda is not only updating the engine in its sedan, but is also launching the new Generation Octavia with new design and features. This car will come only in the petrol engine by removing the old diesel engine. The new model is likely to get a 2.0-liter TSI engine, which generates 188 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. This engine will go with DSG automatic transmission. Apart from this, the 1.5-liter TSI four-cylinder petrol engine of Skoda Karok can also be given, which produces 148 Bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
