An eight-member team from India, including top badminton players PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal, will participate in the upcoming three tournaments, including BWF (World Badminton Federation) World Tour Finals, in Backock. The Badmint Association of India (BY) on Monday selected an eight-member strong squad for the tournaments to be held in January, keeping in mind the Olympic qualification.
In March, many tournaments were postponed or canceled due to the Corona virus lockdown. This will be the first occasion after that, except Srikkanth, the other top Indian players will play in an international tournament. Srikanth, a former world number one, made his return to the Denmark Open in October.
Apart from singles foreign coach Agsu Dwi Santoso, Park Tai Sang and doubles coach Dwi Kristiawan, the support staff will also be backing the team.
