According to the information, in the month of August, Maruti Suzuki has sold a total of 1,03,187 units of vehicles, which was 1,13,033 units in the month of August last year. The company’s sales have seen a decline of 8.7%. On the other hand, talk about the sales of Tata Motors, which Tata has sold a total of 28,017 units of vehicles in the month of August, which is 50.8% percent more than the 18,583 units in August last year.
Although Maruti Suzuki has become the biggest vehicle seller this time as usual, but the market share of the company, which was 48.3% in the month of August last year, has now come down to 39.8%. On the other hand, the market share of Tata Motors vehicles has increased by about 2.9%. Tata’s market share in the passenger segment has grown to 10.8% in the month of August, which was only 7.9% in the month of August last year.
It is clear from this that people have shown more interest in vehicles of other brands than Maruti Suzuki, in which Tata Motors is the main one. Tata Motors has introduced many new models in the last few months. Many models have been launched from Tata Safari to Tata Tigor Electric. At the same time, Tata Nexon has also performed well in the compact SUV segment.
Talking about the market share in August 2021, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Ford are the only companies whose sales have seen a decline. All other brands have registered an increase. Hyundai’s market share has come down from 19.6% to 18.1%, while Ford’s market share which was 2.0% in August last year has now come down to 0.6%.
