According to this, personal vehicles will have to undergo fitness test after 20 years and commercial vehicles after 15 years. The fitness test of the old trains will be done in the automated centers.

In this voluntary vehicle scraping policy, old and unfit vehicles will be phased out and phased out. In July last year, the Center proposed to allow amendments in motor vehicle regulations for vehicles older than 15 years. In addition, in a draft notification, the renewal of the fitness certificate of the vehicles was said to be extended to 6 months instead of every year.
Sales of new vehicles will increase: After the implementation of this new scraping policy, vehicles that have completed the deadline and will not be able to pass the test will be sent to scrap. This will see a rapid increase in sales of new vehicles. Apart from this, pollution from old and bad vehicles will also get relief. This new policy of the government will greatly benefit the automotive industry.
