
Tata Nexon EV is currently one of the most popular electric cars in the country. It is the best selling electric passenger car every month. To attract more customers, the company had launched its dark edition a few days back. Now according to the latest report, Tata Motors is going to upgrade its Nexon EV and increase its power too. Carandbike has claimed this in one of its reports.
According to the report, a leaked transport document dated August 17, 2021 reveals a power figure of 134 bhp, which is 7 bhp more than the current one. However, the torque output will remain the same at 245 Nm. Apart from this, the battery capacity is also shown in the document at 30.2 kWh as before. This means an ARAI certified drive range of 312 km on a full charge and up to 80 per cent charge in one hour (DC charging) will continue to feature.

The document also reveals that the increased power output will be available in all three variants – XM, XZ+ and XZ+ LUX. An increase in the speed and top speed of this electric SUV can be seen. The current Nexon EV has a top speed of 120 kmph. It remains to be seen whether the price of the car will also increase with the increase in power. Let us know that the company has also recently introduced the Tigor EV, which will be launched on August 31.

Price hiked by Rs 9000
According to another report, Tata Motors has increased the prices of select variants of Nexon EV for the third time in 2021. The electric SUV comes in five variants – XM, XZ+, XZ+ Lux, XZ+ Dark, and XZ+ Lux Dark. The company has not changed the prices of the XM trim and the Dark range models, though the XZ+ and XZ+ Lux variants have now become costlier by Rs 9,000.
