
The 5-star safety rating and the best-selling Tata subcompact SUV Nexon last month have become expensive to buy. According to a report by Rushlane, the company has increased the prices of Nexon by up to Rs 11,000. The company has made diesel variants costlier by Rs 11,000 and petrol variants by Rs 10,500. This is the second time in the last three months that the company has increased the price of the Nexon.

After the price hike, the starting price of Nexon has increased to Rs 7.30 lakh. At the same time, after the price hike, the top-end variant of Nexon – XZA+(O) Dark has gone up to Rs 13,34,900 from Rs 13,23,900 earlier. The company has made almost the variants of Nexon expensive, but there are still some variants whose price has not been changed this time.
These variants were discontinued
Along with increasing the price, the company has also discontinued some diesel variants of Nexon. The discontinued variants include the entry-level XE, mid-spec XMA and XMA(S) apart from the XZ and XZA+(S). The increased prices and updated variants of Nexon are live on the company’s website.
Specifications and Features
Tata Nexon is available in two engine options – 1.2L turbocharged and 1.5L diesel. The petrol engine of the SUV produces 118bhp power at 5,500rpm and 170Nm torque at 1750rpm. At the same time, its diesel engine offers power of 109 bhp at 4000 rpm and torque of 260 Nm at 1500 rpm. Both the engines come with manual and AMT gearbox options. The company also offers an electric version of the Nexon.

Talking about the features, you will find a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the dashboard of the Nexon, which supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Equipped with a semi-digital instrument console, this SUV has been given JBL’s audio system for strong sound. Apart from this, you also get features like cruise control, rain sensing wipers, auto climate control, rear AC vents and electric sunroof. For safety, the Nexon gets dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS and EBD along with many more features.
