Tata Motors’ electric car Nexon EV has received good customer response since its launch. This is the reason why Tata Nexon EV is currently the best selling electric passenger vehicle in the country. Petrol and diesel prices are increasing rapidly, due to which the sales of electric vehicles have also seen an increase. Tata Motors has also benefited directly from this.

Actually, Tata Motors has claimed that the demand for Tata Nexon EV is as much as the diesel model of the vehicle. During a press conference, PB Balaji, Chief Financial Officer, Tata Motors has said that in July 2021, orders have been received for the Nexon EV exactly equal to the diesel variant. He said that customers are getting attracted towards electric vehicles due to FAME-II benefits and subsidy given by the state government.

10 electric vehicles will come by 2025
The company expects the sales of Nexon EV to touch 5 per cent of the total sales soon. Let us inform that in the first quarter (April-June) of FY 2022, Tata Motors has sold a total of 1,766 units of Nexon EV. While a total of 53,800 vehicles of the company have been sold during this period. In view of the increasing demand for Nexon EV, the company has announced to launch 10 electric vehicles by 2025.

Features of Tata Nexon EV
Tata Nexon EV is quite popular for its driving range. The company claims that it travels more than 300 KM on full charge. It has a battery of 30.2kwh. It can be charged up to 80 percent in 1 hour with a fast charger. Whereas with a 15A charger (ordinary charger) it takes 8.5 hours for the battery to be 10 to 90 percent. It gets features like 7-inch TFT display with semi-digital instrument cluster, auto AC, auto headlamps, sunroof, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and connected car technology. Prices of the car start from Rs 13.99 Lakh and go up to Rs 16.56 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
