Royal Enfield’s powerful bikes are known all over the world for their excellent performance. The brand has no other match in its segment in the Indian market. However, it has been compared to some premium brands, which are priced quite high. But a recent report has revealed a very interesting point that, Royal Enfield’s engine is cleaner than its rival brands like Harley Davidson, Ducati etc.
In fact, a laboratory test conducted by FortNine has revealed that the motorcycle engine of Royal Enfield is much cleaner than the engines of rival brands. Major global motorcycle brands such as Aprilia, Ducati, Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, KTM, Honda, BMW Motard etc. were included in this test. Results of this test showed that Royal Enfield’s engine emits very few impurities compared to other brands mentioned above.
Used laboratory oil of 12 different brands were collected during the laboratory test. After nearly 7 months of rigorous testing, the results came out that Indian motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield’s engine oil contains minimal impurities and small particles, which is undoubtedly the result of the best manufacturing process.
Engine Manufacturing: Let me tell you that building an engine is a very complicated process and it requires some very precise equipment. In the manufacturing process of an internal combustion engine, some impurities and particles are often released, which remain inside the engine and accumulate in the engine oil. In addition, when the driver uses the throttle of the bike, many small parts within the engine work simultaneously, during which friction occurs. After that, the friction of metals also causes parts of the parts to be deposited directly into the engine oil itself.
These impurities and particles deposited in engine oil include carbon, metal shavings, fabric fibers, sand grains, plastics, wood chips, etc. Despite all this, the engine of the bike has to work for a certain interval without changing the oil. In such a situation, heavy damage to the engine and its parts can happen, especially the piston ring and crank etc. are severely affected by it.
In this research, researchers have tested a sample of 100 ml of used oil from each motorcycle to check the quality and the presence of carbon content. During this testing, the smallest particles were found to be 5 micrometers while the largest were about 100 micrometers. This test has revealed that, Royal Enfield’s engine is the cleanest and leaves the least impurities.
