
Ola, the country’s leading cab service provider, has launched the first electric scooter Ola S1 in the country like its second division Ola Electric. This scooter has been introduced on the occasion of Independence Day on 15th August. Coming in two variants S1 and S1 Pro, the starting price of this scooter has been fixed at Rs 99,999 (this price does not include subsidy, registration and insurance).
Apart from the launch of this scooter, the company has also announced that the sales of the S1 and S1 Pro will start from September 8, 2021, while the deliveries are slated to start in the month of October this year. Initially, Ola Electric will start deliveries in 1,000 cities and towns in the country. Till then, interested buyers can book this electric scooter by paying a pre-booking amount of just Rs 499.
The base variant of the Ola electric scooter is available in 5 color options while the Pro version gets a total of 10 color options. Apart from the different colours, this scooter comes with a different battery range. Its base model catches a maximum speed of 90 kmph and in a single charge, this scooter gives a driving range of up to 121 km. On the other hand, the top model has a maximum speed of 115 kmph and once fully charged, it can be driven up to 181 kms.
Except Gujarat, Delhi, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, the price of the S1 variant of this scooter has been fixed at Rs 99,999 and the S1 Pro variant at Rs 129,999 in the rest of the states of the country. But the price of this scooter is lowest in Gujarat. Here the price of its base model is Rs 79,999 and the price of top model is Rs 109,999. This price includes FAME-II and subsidy provided by the state government.
