Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest (by sales) two-wheeler manufacturer, has made another new record. The company has announced that it has sold over 1 lakh two-wheelers in just one day, which includes everything from bikes to scooters.
The company has done this feat on August 9, the day on which Hero MotoCorp has made a new record by selling more than 1 lakh vehicles across the country. The company also celebrated its 10th anniversary (after splitting from Honda) on this day. It is undoubtedly a matter of pride for Hero MotoCorp as a leading two wheeler manufacturer.
Hero MotoCorp says that this retail sale includes both domestic and exports and this is the reason why the company has sold such a large number of vehicles during the non-festive time. To recall, Hero MotoCorp announced its new brand logo (Hero MotoCorp) on 9 August 2011 at the O2 Arena in London after its split from Honda, and this year on 9 August as the company’s 10th anniversary.
Celebrated.
Commenting on the achievement, Naveen Chauhan, Head of Sales & After Sales, Hero MotoCorp said, “Such single day retail sales at non-festival times is unprecedented and August 9 marks the completion of 10 years of the company’s journey. Hero MotoCorp has set an important milestone.” He further added that the customers of the brand have reaffirmed their trust towards the customers by celebrating ‘Hero Day’ on 9th August.”
Keep in mind that, keeping in mind the electric mobility, Hero MotoCorp has also announced to launch its first electric scooter in this segment in the market. Recently, Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO of Hero MotoCorp gave the first glimpse of the first Hero Electric Scooter with the promise that it will be introduced soon. In the initial phase, the company will launch this scooter in 20 different markets.
