
Maruti Suzuki launched the facelift model of its famous hatchback car Maruti Swift in the market yesterday. Adorned with a very attractive look and strong engine capacity, the price of this car has been fixed between Rs 5.73 lakh and Rs 8.41 lakh. Although this car has become a bit expensive than the previous model, but the company has added new technology and best features in it.
Available in a total of five variants, the new Maruti Swift looks more sporty than the previous model. Apart from this, some premium features and new color options have also been given in this car. At present, the third generation model of this car is going on in the market, which was introduced by the company in the year 2016, since then no major update was given to this car. Well now this car has been launched in the new avatar, so let’s know what changes the company has made in it.
1) – Sporty Front Face: The company has made minor changes to the exterior of the new Maruti Swift. The front of the car gets a new cross mesh grille and chrome strip, which divides the radiator into two parts. Its front looks more sporty than the previous model. Apart from this, no other changes have been made in the exterior.
2) – Dual tone color option: The company has launched this car with a dual tone paint scheme, which makes it even more sporty. The car is available in the market with dual tone paint such as Pearl Midnight Black Roof with Pearl Arctic White, Pearl Midnight Black Roof with Solid Fire Red, Pearl Arctic White Roof with Pearl Metallic Midnight Blue. Apart from this, this car also comes in 6 single color options, which include Orange, Silver, Gray, Red, Blue and White.
3) – New Instrument Cluster: In the cabin of Maruti Swift, the company has given updated instrument clusters. It has a SmartPlay infotainment system, which can be connected to Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Other features include push start / stop button, keyless entry, automatic climate control, steering mounted controls and auto fold out side rear view mirror (ORVM’s).
4) – More power: The biggest change in the new Maruti Swift is being seen in its engine. The company has used the new powerful K12N petrol engine of 1.2 liter capacity in it. This engine generates power of 90bhp and torque of 113Nm. Its new engine also has piston cooling jet, more compression radio and cooled EGR system. However, the engine used in the previous model generates 82bhp power and 113Nm torque. That is, the new car is more powerful.
5) – More mileage: The new Swift is also better in terms of mileage. The company claims that the manual variant of this car gives a mileage of 23.20 kmpl and the AGS transmission variant of 23.76 kmpl. Let me tell you, its previous model used to give a mileage of 21.2 kilometers per liter. The Auto Idol start-stop technology offered in this car improves its mileage.
6) – Car became so expensive: After the new update, the Maruti Swift has become more expensive than the previous model. Its entry-level LXi variant costs Rs 5.73 lakh, which is about Rs 24,000 more than the previous model. At the same time, the price of ZXi + AMT variants has been fixed at Rs 8.27 lakh, which is about Rs 25,000 more than the previous model. In the Indian market, this car competes with cars like Tata Tiago, Hyundai Grand i10 Neos and Ford Figo.
