The demand for CNG vehicles is at its peak due to the rising price of petrol and diesel. However, like the rest of the companies, Maruti Suzuki is also having trouble in delivering the supply according to the demand. One reason for this is also the lack of semiconductor chips. According to a report by Autocar Professional, Maruti Suzuki currently has orders for 280,000 cars, of which 120,000 vehicles (about 43 per cent) are CNG models.
Highest demand for this CNG vehicle
According to the company, the highest demand is for the 7 seater Maruti Ertiga CNG. Of the total pending CNG orders, more than 50 per cent (over 60,000) are from Ertiga. Maruti Suzuki WagonR is the second best selling CNG vehicle of the company. 30% (around 36000) orders of WagonR CNG are yet to be delivered.
