To promote electric mobility, state governments are implementing Electric Vehicle (EV) policy. The biggest impact of these policies is being seen in the prices of electric vehicles. Now the country’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer Ather Energy has revealed the new price of its electric scooter Ather 450 Plus in Maharashtra after the recently announced Maharashtra EV Policy 2021.
The company’s CEO announced on social networking site Twitter that thanks to the new EV subsidy policy, the price of the Ather 450 Plus has now come down by Rs 24,000 in Maharashtra. Ather 450 Plus was earlier available at Rs. 1.28 Lakh, ex-showroom, Mumbai. However, thanks to the new EV subsidy, the price of this electric scooter has come down by about 20 per cent. Ather 450 Plus is now priced at Rs 1.03 Lakh, ex-showroom, Mumbai. The price of this electric scooter is lowest in Maharashtra as compared to other Indian states.
Ather Energy co-founder and CEO Tarun Mehta took to social networking site Twitter to make this big announcement. Mehta wrote, “EV subsidy is finally going live in Maharashtra. After which the prices of Ather 450 Plus have come down to Rs 24,000. Now its price in the state is Rs 1.03 lakh, which is the lowest in the country today.”
How is this electric scooter:
Talking about the Ather 450 Plus electric scooter, the company has used a battery pack of 2.4kWh capacity in it. This electric motor generates power of 5.4 kW and torque of 22 Nm. The company claims that this scooter is capable of catching a speed of 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in just 3.9 seconds. In a single charge, this scooter gives a driving range of up to 70 km. It takes 5 hours 45 minutes to charge with a regular charger. However, the company has not yet disclosed the prices of its top model Ather 450X.
