
Hyundai’s first compact SUV Venue has achieved a big milestone of selling 250,000 units in India. Venue was launched on 21st May 2019, after which 31 months its sale has achieved great success. Prices of the Venue start at Rs 6.50 lakh and go up to Rs 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Hyundai Venue recorded 50,000 sales in the first 6 months. Then it has sold 100000 units in 15 months, 200000 in 25 months and now 250000 lakh units in 31 months. Hyundai Venue currently competes with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza (currently India’s No. 2 bestselling UV) in its segment, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet and Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Tata Punch.

Hyundai Venue comes in the market in three engine options. There is a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which generates 82 bhp power and 114 Nm peak torque. The other is a 1.4-litre diesel engine, which generates 89 bhp power and 220 Nm peak torque. The third one is the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which generates 118 bhp power and 172 Nm peak torque.

Mileage
The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine of the Venue returns a mileage of 18.27 kmpl with manual transmission and 18.15 kmpl with dual clutch transmission. The mileage of 1.2-litre petrol engine is 17.52 kmpl and the mileage of 1.4-litre diesel engine is 23.7 kmpl.

Plan to launch 6 electric cars by 2028
Hyundai is planning to launch 6 electric cars by 2028, under which the company plans to invest about 4 thousand crores. In the electric segment, the company plans to bring e-vehicles from small car to SUV segment. Three of the upcoming 6 EVs will be developed on Hyundai’s global electric vehicle platform e-GMP, while the remaining three can be built on the modified platform in India.
