The Skoda Slavia mid-size sedan is all set to launch in March next year. The company has confirmed that its delivery will start from April 2022. There are still a few months left for the delivery of the car, but in the meantime, the company has told which engine it is going to offer in which variant of Slavia.
Skoda Slavia will come in three variants – Active, Ambition and Style. In Slavia, the company is going to offer the option of two turbocharged engines – 1.0 liter, 3-cylinder TSI and 1.5 liter, 4-cylinder TSI. The car’s 1.0-litre engine produces 115bhp power and 178Nm torque. At the same time, in the 1.5 liter engine, you will get 150bhp power and 250Nm torque.
Variants and Engines
The company is going to offer a 1.0 liter TSI engine in the Active variant of Skoda Slavia. It will come with 6-speed manual transmission. At the same time, you will also get to see a 1.0-liter TSI engine in the Ambition, but in this, the company will also give the option of automatic transmission with 6-speed manual. If we talk about the Slavia’s style variant, then you will get the option of 1.0 liter TSI and 1.5 liter TSI engine in it. Along with this, this variant will come with manual as well as DSG transmission option.

Slavia to replace Rapid
The Skoda Slavia will replace the existing Rapid in India. The 1.0-litre engine variant of the Slavia will offer 5bhp more power and 3Nm more torque than the Rapid. The 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine of the car will be the most powerful engine in the segment as it has been given first-in-segment cylinder deactivation technology. Slavia measures 4541mm in length, 1752mm in width and 1487mm in height.
Longest and highest boot space in the segment
The Slavia has a wheelbase of 2651mm, which makes it taller than the Honda City and Hyundai Verna. At the same time, it is also 99mm longer than the Rapid. The Slavia is the sedan offering the highest boot space in the segment. The boot space of this car is 520 liters. This is the second product of the company after Kushak which is based on Made in India MQB A0 IN platform.
