Toyota has introduced its new sedan car Toyota Belta based on Maruti Ciaz in the Middle-East market. This is a completely rebadged version of the Maruti Ciaz. That is, the car has the same engine, same features, and even the design is the same as Maruti Suzuki. The only change is Toyota’s badging. Let us inform that earlier the company has also launched Maruti Vitara Brezza and Maruti Baleno with its badging and new name.
The company made a slight change in the front look of the car while launching the Brezza in the name of Toyota Urban Cruiser. However, this time it has also been kept the same. There is no change to be seen in the exterior as well as the interior. Its cabin design and layout is exactly the same as the Ciaz. That is, apart from badging, you will also get features like 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel, climate control switch, and analog dial with color MID.

1.5 liter engine
Talking about the engine, the Toyota Belta brought to the Middle East has come with the same 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder petrol engine as the Ciaz. This engine is capable of generating maximum power of 105hp and peak torque of 138Nm. However, this model is only offered with a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox option. For the Indian market, Toyota is expected to bring the same engine. However, both manual and automatic gearboxes will be given in it.

Will be launching in India too
While the Middle East model is a left-hand-drive (LHD) variant, a right-hand-drive (RHD) made-in-India variant is expected to be launched in India as well. Since the company has discontinued its Toyota Yaris sedan in India, Toyota Belta could take its place.
