In this episode, NCB has summoned actor Arjun Rampal in a drug related case today. The actor was summoned on Monday after the NCB conducted a raid at Arjun Rampal’s house. According to the report of the news agency ANI, Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriela Demetriades has also been summoned by the NCB to appear on 11 November.
The NCB conducted a search at Rampal’s house a day after arresting filmmaker Feroz Nadiadwala’s wife Shabbir Saeed. Agency sleuths allegedly recovered 10 grams of cannabis at Nadiadwala’s residence in Juhu. Some electronic gadgets were seized during the raid at Rampal’s house. The NCB also questioned the driver of the first 47-year-old actor. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Monday searched the residence of actor Arjun Rampal in connection with the investigation into the alleged use of narcotics in Bollywood.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said on Monday that the entire Hindi film industry is considered “bad” as “some people are involved in drugs”. This is not correct and the government will take action against the culprits. He further reiterated that the use of drugs is against the law, but the Maharashtra government will ensure that action is taken against such people. He added, but if someone is defaming Bollywood and working towards moving it from Mumbai to somewhere else then it is wrong. We will not let this happen. “
