
Tata Motors has been preparing to enter the passenger vehicle CNG market for some time now. The car manufacturer had said that it will bring its first CNG car to the Indian market in November 2021. But it seems that this plan of the company is getting delayed due to the ongoing chip crisis. But now according to the new report, the first Tata CNG car can now come to India in the next month i.e. January 2022. There are reports that Tata will enter the CNG market with the Tiago.
According to many media reports, the launch of Tiago CNG in India may happen next month. When the Tata Tigor CNG is launched, it will compete directly with the Hyundai Aura CNG. However, Maruti is also planning to launch the Dzire CNG model in India.

engine and power
Tata may launch the Tigor CNG in India with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine based on the mid-spec XT and XZ trims. A 5-speed manual transmission is available with this engine. This engine currently generates 85 bhp maximum power and 113 Nm peak torque. In the CNG model, this engine can generate 15 to 20 percent less power.

Features
Talking about the features, the Tiago CNG XZ variant will have the same features as the standard XZ trim. This includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, voice commands, steering mounted audio and phone controls, height-adjustable driver seat, one-touch drawer window, cooled glove box and more. The XT trim gets features like front and rear power windows, piano black interior inserts and steering wheel, Tata ConnectNext application support and electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators.
