Xiaomi is about to launch its foldable smartphone this year. According to a leaked report, Xiaomi can launch this foldable smartphone under its popular Mi Mix series. According to the display search’s Ross Young, this foldable smartphone of Xiaomi can be launched in the market as Mi Mix 4 Pro Max. This fact of Young can also be considered as Xiaomi offers new technology and features in its Mi Mix series.

CSOT will supply display to Xiaomi
Young further revealed that the display of this foldable smartphone from Xiaomi is going to supply China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT). This company is the display subsidiary of TCL. A few days ago such reports also came in which it was said that Xiaomi will use Samsung’s display in its foldable phone. However, Ross Young stated that Samsung is definitely going to give a foldable display to Xiaomi, but this display will be for Xiaomi’s in-folding smartphones which the company will launch later.

Display can be like Huawei Mate XS
Young replying to a Twitter user said that the Mi Mix 4 Pro Max will get an outwardly folded display design, as seen previously in the Huawei Mate XS. Young also mentioned rumors that the display in this upcoming smartphone of Xiaomi becomes 6.38 inches when folded.

Prototype was showcased in 2019
In 2019, Xiaomi showcased the working prototype of the foldable smartphone for the first time. Since then, users have been waiting for the commercial launch of this phone. The company has patented several different designs for this phone, including a model with a pop-up selfie camera.
