Iconic motorcycle brand Yezdi is no longer a part of Jawa Motorcycles. Jawa Motorcycles gave this information in its Twitter post. In the post, Jawa wrote that the Yezdi brand will now work differently. After Jawa, Classic Legends will help to re-establish the Yezdi in the Indian market.
Yezdi’s new bike will compete with Himalayan
Anupam Thareja, co-founder of Classic Legends, had recently said in a tweet that we have called back the other brother. After launch, Yezdi ADV will compete directly with Royal Enfield Himalayan. The special thing is that Yezdi’s new bike will come only in the price segment of Royal Enfield Himalayan. In Yezdi’s new bike, only the 334cc engine that comes in Jawa Perak can be offered. This engine of Perak produces 30 hp power and 32Nm torque.
Anand Mahindra’s tweet increased the excitement
The Jawa motorcycles, the BSA and the Yezdi comeback have been in the news since the Mahindra & Mahindra Group’s investment in Classic Legends. At the same time, earlier this year, Classic Legends also filed the trademark of Yezdi Roadking in India. Since then, the discussions about the return of the Yezdi motorcycle to India have gained momentum. Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra also made a tweet about Yezdi’s return to India. After this tweet by Mahindra, it is almost certain that Yezdi is going to re-enter India.
Yezdi’s adventure motorcycle may come next year
Talking about Jawa, the company has already launched its retro-themed motorcycles in India through dedicated sales channels. Now Yezdi is also preparing to launch its products. However, not much details are available about the products as of now. Yezdi is also expected to launch its retro-themed motorcycles in India. It is expected that the company will launch a new adventure motorcycle in the year 2022.
